Ryan Wendler's photography utilizes natural elements to accentuate a unique perspective. The aim of his photography is to tell a distinct and revealing story about his subjects. Ryan has learned that photography is much more than a hobby or a career, it is a key. A key that opens many doors to new experiences, places, and conversations of significance. Using a keen eye and a sensitive manner, he is able to capture the truest emotions of his subjects; often a quiet confidence.

Ryan was introduced to the world of photography early on. His grandfather, Mel Finkelstein, was an award-winning and world renowned New York City photojournalist. As a child, Ryan found himself on assignments, carrying film, and entertaining all the girls at the local diner as his grandfather's pint-sized wingman.

Ryan currently resides in Orlando, Florida. However, for the past 15 years Ryan has been engaging with the world. He has lived in Spain and Australia and traveled to over 25 countries, across six continents. His travels have developed his ability to connect with peoples of many cultures and backgrounds. Ryan is able to create genuine and thoughtful images that embrace diverse environments.

His educational background includes a Bachelors in Psychology from Flagler College; a CELTA certificate from Cambridge University; and an Associates of Science in Photographic Technology from Daytona State College (DBCC). While at Daytona State College, Ryan was actively involved in the school newspaper as an Editorial Features Writer, Staff Photographer, and Assistant Photo Editor. Ryan was also a volunteer photographic art therapy group leader at the Daytona Beach Stewart Marchman NA/AA facility.

Ryan has continued to learn his trade through assisting some of the world's best photographers on both high-end editorial and commercial projects. Ryan has assisted on jobs for clients such as: Sports Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine, the NBA, EA Sports, Golf Digest, the Detroit Tigers, Vogue Italia, GQ India, Disney, Polo Ralph Lauren, Glamour Magazine, Starz Network, Chattem International, The Blue Man Group,The Nemours Foundation, WebMD, Nike, Golf Channel, Zurich Financial Services, Tropicana, and Visit Orlando.

His education, extensive travels, and photographic experiences have all helped to shape his vision; viewing the world as a story to be told.
